Hot Lunch Program

Our affordable and delicious hot lunches are made possible through the generous support of parent.  The proceeds help to fund classrooms, programs, and tuition assistance.  The cost for each meal is $4.00.

We ask that parent volunteers acquire a food handler's permit through efoodcard.com.  The process is easy, and the cost is $7.99, which we'll reimburse.

If you're willing to host a hot lunch, please contact Ms. Dulce at communications@lvaes.org .

Hot Lunch Fundraisers

When parents volunteer to host a hot lunch fundraiser, 100% of the proceeds go to the classroom or extracurricular program of their choice.  We ask volunteers to arrange the following tasks:

  • Plan a delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious vegetarian meal that includes at least a healthy entree (including a cheese-less option is encouraged) and fruit, vegetables, and/or salad.

  • Shop for the food (We'll reimburse you for actual food costs and supplies with a receipt)

  • Cook enough food for everyone who might order hot lunch

  • Serve the food

  • Clean up the kitchen completely

Tuition Assistance Hot Lunch Program

Parents are able to host lunches to help fund for their child's tuition.

Parent's Responsibilities

  • Plan a delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious vegetarian meal that includes at least a healthy entree and fruit, vegetables, and/or salad.

  • Shop for the food

  • Cook enough food for everyone who might order hot lunch

  • Serve the food

  • Clean up the kitchen completely

Financial Arrangements

  • Parent host pays for the food.

  • The school provides plates and utensils and will deduct $0.20 per lunch sold to cover the cost.

  • The rest of the proceeds will go to the parent.  ($4.00 per student lunch.  $2.00 per staff lunch.)

  • The parent's profit will be applied as a credit to the student's tuition account.

Since a parent's work schedules might conflict with our lunch schedule, parents are welcome to partner with others to complete the responsibilities and to divide the tuition credit.
