Fruit And Vegetables

Agriculture Program

Integrating agricultural projects, like school gardens, directly tackles childhood health. Students who participate are more likely to increase their intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, are more likely to choose balanced meals, and bring healthier dietary habits into their homes.

The Seventh-Day Adventist is known to be pioneers in healthy eating. Part of that example includes taking care of our health—we believe God calls us to care for our bodies, treating them with the respect a divine creation deserves. Gluttony and excess, even of something good, can be detrimental to our health.

Also known for our Blue Zones.

Academic Enrichment

Elementary agriculture programs boost academic achievement through hands-on STEM learning. By connecting lessons with real-world applications, students improve their test scores, develop healthier eating habits, and cultivate vital life skills like patience and responsibility.

Health and Nutrition

Through programs such as Agriculture in the Classroom, students gain experiential, nature-based education that stimulates higher-order cognition. By learning about plant life cycles, ecosystems, and basic biology, agricultural concepts are effortlessly woven into math, science, and reading curricula to significantly improve overall grades.
