Linda Vista is more than a school. It is a community, and it is a place for your child to belong as he or she grows in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and Man. Our educational approach is founded on Biblical principles and emphasizes balanced development of the spiritual, mental, physical, and social aspects of the whole person. We seek opportunities for children to connect classroom learning to real life skills and cultivate a sense of exploration and excitement about learning and being at school. Our students leave Linda Vista with a foundation of faith and the skills to lead the world according to the principles of Christ.
We would love to partner with you in the education of your child!
The Linda Vista Adventist Elementary School family exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve.
Where children grow closer to God while learning to master the world.
Our curriculum includes daily Bible classes and weekly chapels; however, we believe that a lasting relationship with Christ is developed not just through learning information, but by relevance and authentic living. We find connections to Biblical principles throughout the curricula, and students have the ability to sink deeper into God’s word with optional weekly Bible studies. Multiple students have the opportunity to preach when Linda Vista organizes the church services at our five constituent churches, and we encourage students to live their faith through service.
Our curriculum is developed by the North American Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist educational system, a world-wide network of renowned academic institutions. Our standards meet or exceed the learning expectations of Common Core but reflect our Christian worldview. In our pursuit of excellent academics, we seek to connect classroom learning to real-life skills, and we create opportunities for students to develop a sense of exploration and excitement about school and learning. And while our educational philosophy is not driven by a focus on standardized testing, our students do test at the beginning, middle, and end of the year to assess growth. As of winter of 2023, our class percentile average for every subject and at every grade level is at or above the national average (where the 50th percentile is considered the national average).
In addition to standard P.E. classes, we also offer after school athletic clubs. Although winning is fun, it is not the goal of our program. Our focus is on team building, leadership, character development, and life-long physical fitness.
Linda Vista's goal is to create a safe environment where students belong, thrive, and feel respected by both students and staff. We also recognize that to grow into confident and healthy adults, children need to learn emotional resiliency. We encourage students to be both kind and brave.
